Spring 2011
Ready-to-Wear
The collection was an embodiment of effortless sensual silhouettes and fabrics. Francisco Costa used minimal accessories and make-up to achieve his chic approach to the Calvin Klein collection.
The show opened with an appearance of a crisp white jump suit against a seamless backdrop. Francisco Costa illustrated his idea of minimalistic sophistication. Using shades of navy, black, wheat and dove white he donned a perfectly tailored collection. An outrageous appearance of starfish orange created an interesting twist to the subtlety of the collection.
Variations of both knee and ankle length shift dresses and tunics emerged, as well as layered vests, and loosely fitted trousers were spotted. The range consisted of suitable attire that can easily be taken from day to nightwear.
"It’s not about right or wrong, it’s about the right time or the wrong time".
The essence of this statement by Calvin Klein elegantly translates his refreshing and refined assortment.
